Quezon City seeks ‘sister city’ ties with Naga as Mayors Belmonte and Robredo discuss best practices

QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte welcomed Naga City Mayor-Elect Leni Robredo to Quezon City Hall on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, to discuss local governance best practices, particularly in housing and digitalization initiatives.
During the meeting, Mayor Belmonte and City Administrator Mike Alimurung shared insights into Quezon City Hall’s fully online business transactions, the establishment of District Action Offices, the QCitizen ID system, and developed digital platforms for the Public Library and Health Department, including the QC Birth Registration Online.
Mayor Belmonte expressed her desire for Naga City to become a “sister city” with Quezon City, aiming to strengthen their inter-city relationship.
Also present at the meeting were Quezon City Chief of Staff Rowena Macatao, Housing Community Development And Resettlement Department Head Atty. Jojo Conejero, and former Congressman and Liberal Party Vice Chairperson Kit Belmonte.
