Vice President Sara Duterte returns to Philippines after Independence Day event in Malaysia

Vice President Sara Duterte returned to the Philippines on Saturday morning, June 14, after attending her office’s Independence Day event with overseas Filipino workers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) confirmed in a media advisory that Vice President Duterte arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at approximately 5:43 AM (PST) via Philippine Airlines flight PR 530. Her return marks the conclusion of her recent visit to Malaysia.

Vice President Duterte is scheduled to attend the 2025 PASIDUNGOG awarding ceremony in Lanang, Davao City, on Monday, June 16. During this event, she is expected to address queries from the media. The PASIDUNGOG ceremony is an annual event organized by the OVP to “honor the partners… for their invaluable support in implementing the agency’s programs and initiatives.”
