From Taguig City Police Station‘s June 16 Facebook post

A 25-year-old law student from De La Salle University (DLSU) in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, who had been missing since June 8, was found dead in Naic, Cavite, on Saturday.

Anthony Granada was last seen on June 8, boarding a Grab ride from his condominium unit along C-5 Road, headed towards Naic Town Plaza. “He was just calm during the trip,” Taguig police officer-in-charge Col. Rodel Pastor told The STAR on Saturday, citing the Grab driver’s testimony.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage later showed Granada walking alone past 9:20 p.m. on June 17 along Lopez Jaena Bridge. On Saturday, Naic police received information that a body in an “advanced state of decomposition” had been discovered at a vacant lot in Barangay Sapa in Naic.

Anthony’s brother, Ricky Granada, confirmed the tragic news in a Facebook post, stating, “We just want to update everyone that my dearest brother Anthony Granada has been found, but unfortunately he is with our Creator now. On behalf of my family, I would like to express our sincerest gratitude to each and everyone for all your support and prayers during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a great comfort to our family.”

The family has requested privacy during this difficult time and did not disclose further details regarding the cause of Anthony’s death.
