Flight advisories: Cebu Pacific maintains Dubai flights, Philippine Airlines cancels some Middle East routes

MANILA, Philippines – Following recent developments in the Middle East, two major Philippine carriers, Cebu Pacific (CEB) and Philippine Airlines (PAL), have issued separate advisories regarding the status of their flights to and from Dubai and other Middle Eastern destinations as of June 24, 2025.

Cebu Pacific advisory (as of June 24, 2025; 12:00 PM)

Cebu Pacific has announced that all its flights to and from Dubai will continue to operate as scheduled. The airline assured passengers that its routes do not fly over conflict-affected areas in the Middle East, allowing for safe operations. CEB stated it is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as necessary.

For passengers with concerns, Cebu Pacific is offering flexible options for those booked on Dubai flights scheduled for today, June 24, 2025. These options include:

  • Free rebooking
  • Travel Fund conversion

These flexible options are available online up to two (2) hours before the scheduled departure time. Passengers are encouraged to regularly check their flight status at cebupacificair.com/flight-status and to update their contact details via the Manage Booking portal for timely notifications.

Philippine Airlines advisory

In contrast, Philippine Airlines has announced cancellations for several of its flights to and from the Middle East due to the developing situation in the region.

Cancelled flights:

  • June 24, 2025:
    • PR 684 Manila – Doha
    • PR 658/659 Manila – Dubai – Manila
    • PR 654/655 Manila – Riyadh – Manila
  • June 25, 2025:
    • PR 685 Doha – Manila

PAL advises passengers not to proceed to the airport if their flight is cancelled. Passengers affected by these cancellations have the following options:

  • Rebook to another flight: Within 60 days from the original flight date, in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class, subject to available space.
  • Convert ticket to Travel Credits: Equivalent to the unused base fare of the ticket, with a voucher validity of one (1) year from the date of issuance.
  • Refund ticket: Without penalties, excluding the Ticketing Service Charge. Passengers should contact PAL at https://pal.my.site.com/s/ for refunds.
