Classes suspended in Metro Manila, Luzon provinces on July 25 due to Typhoon Emong

MANILA, Philippines – Classes at all levels, including TESDA learners, are suspended on Friday, July 25, in Metro Manila and numerous provinces across Luzon, as Typhoon “Emong” and the persistent southwest monsoon continue to bring heavy rains. The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced the suspensions, citing a recommendation from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Malacañang has also issued a memorandum circular declaring the class suspension in the affected areas, including the Babuyan Group of Islands. However, the Palace clarified that personnel responsible for emergency, health, and vital services must remain operational to ensure the continuity of government functions.
