NBOC Concludes Vote Canvassing for National Posts
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) en banc, acting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), completed the canvassing of all 175 certificates of canvass (COCs) on Thursday, May 15—three days after the midterm elections.
By Thursday evening, the NBOC had issued the National Certificate of Canvass (NCOC) for senatorial and party-list results.
However, Comelec Chairman George Garcia clarified that the NCOC does not yet reflect the final official tally, as it remains subject to audit.
- According to the NCOC, the top 12 senatorial candidates and their respective vote counts are as follows:
- Bong Go – 27,121,073
- Bam Aquino – 20,971,899
- Bato dela Rosa – 20,773,946
- Erwin Tulfo – 17,118,881
- Kiko Pangilinan – 15,343,229
- Rodante Marcoleta – 15,250,723
- Ping Lacson – 15,106,111
- Tito Sotto – 14,832,996
- Pia Cayetano – 14,573,430
- Camille Villar – 13,651,274
- Lito Lapid – 13,394,102
- Imee Marcos – 13,339,227
- Meanwhile, the following are the top 10 party-list groups, along with their vote counts and corresponding percentages:
- Akbayan – 2,779,621 (6.63%)
- Duterte Youth – 2,338,564 (5.57%)
- Tingog – 1,822,708 (4.34%)
- 4Ps – 1,469,571 (3.50%)
- ACT-CIS – 1,239,930 (2.96%)
- Ako Bicol – 1,073,119 (2.56%)
- USWAG-Ilonggo – 777,754 (1.85%)
- Solid North – 765,322 (1.82%)
- Trabaho – 709,283 (1.69%)
