A Low Pressure Area (LPA) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of 8:00 AM today, June 17, 2025, bringing cloudy skies and scattered rains to several regions, state weather bureau PAGASA reported.

The LPA was last spotted over the coastal waters of Corcuera, Romblon, at 3:00 AM. PAGASA stated that it is “UNLIKELY” to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours and may track west-northwestward and dissipate within the day.

The weather disturbance, along with the easterlies, will affect Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan), Bicol Region, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, and Bulacan, bringing cloudy skies and scattered rains.

PAGASA has warned residents in these areas of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to Isabela, Quirino, and Aurora. The rest of Luzon can expect similar weather conditions.

For Visayas and Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are also expected due to the influence of the easterlies.
