LPA inside PAR gains strength, another develops into tropical depression outside PH
MANILA, Philippines – A low pressure area (LPA) currently situated within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) now has a “high” potential to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced. As of 8:00 PM today, July 1, 2025, this LPA was located 430 km East Northeast of Infanta, Quezon or 350 km East of Casiguran, Aurora.
Meanwhile, a separate LPA that was being monitored outside PAR has already intensified and developed into a tropical depression.
The public is strongly advised to continuously monitor official updates and bulletins from DOST-PAGASA for the latest information on both weather systems.
