WEATHER FORECAST
PAGASA: Heavy rainfall expected in Metro Manila, four provinces

Heavy rainfall is anticipated in Metro Manila and four other provinces today, Monday, July 21, as the southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” continues to affect the country. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued this advisory in its 8:00 a.m. report.
In addition to the National Capital Region, the provinces of Bataan, Cavite, Zambales (specifically Botolan, Cabangan, San Felipe, San Marcelino, San Antonio, San Narciso, Olongapo, Subic, and Castillejos), and Batangas (specifically Tuy, Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan, Balayan, Laurel, and Calaca) are currently under PAGASA’s Yellow Rainfall Warning.
A Yellow Rainfall Warning indicates that flooding is possible in the affected areas. This is the lowest level in PAGASA’s three-tier rainfall warning system. It is followed by the Orange Warning, which signals a threat of flooding in low-lying areas and river channels, and the Red Warning, which means severe flooding is expected.
Furthermore, PAGASA forecasts light to moderate rains with occasional heavy downpours over Nueva Ecija and Quezon within the next three hours. Light to moderate rains with occasional heavy downpours, which may persist for up to three hours, are also expected to affect the following areas:
- Zambales (Candelaria, Iba, Masinloc, Palauig, Santa Cruz)
- Tarlac
- Bulacan
- Rizal
- Laguna
- Pampanga
- Batangas (Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lemery, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Talisay, Taysan, Tingloy)
