Winners Announced in HKGCC Business Case Competition

Fifteen university teams advanced to the final round of the 2024/25 HKGCC Business Case Competition, with five teams emerging victorious today (21 February). Winners were awarded a one-year HKGCC student membership, internship opportunities, and cash prizes.
Now in its sixth edition, the competition attracted around 160 teams and nearly 700 students from tertiary institutions across Hong Kong. Launched in October 2024, the multi-stage programme offered students the opportunity to connect with business leaders and refine their projects through real-world insights.
This year’s theme, “Shaping the Future of Businesses with Creativity and Innovation,” challenged students to address real-world business cases provided by the competition sponsors – Chinachem Group, Jardine Matheson, MTR Corporation Ltd, SOCAM Development Ltd, and Swire (in collaboration with HKGCC). Case topics ranged from tourism and sustainability to community support and workplace innovation.
Judges praised the exceptional quality of the students’ proposals, noting that the close collaboration between the companies and students enriched the final outcomes and fostered stronger mutual understanding. Selecting the winners proved to be a tough task due to the high standard of entries.
Each champion team received a cash prize of HK$30,000 and internship opportunities with their respective sponsor companies. First and second runners-up were awarded HK$20,000 and HK$10,000, respectively. The results are as follows:
